Dental FAQs

We are accepting new dental patients at our Centennial CO office. Contact Metro Smiles today for a dental appointment.

Why do teeth crack?

Teeth crack due to a variety of issues - pressure from teeth grinding or clenching, large fillings which can weaken and compromise tooth structure, biting or chewing hard foods such as ice, nuts or hard candy, accidents, and can also occur naturally with age.

What should I do if I have a cracked tooth?

Treatment depends on severity and symptoms. Prompt treatment offers the best chance of saving the tooth. Treatment options include composite filling, bonding, crown, possible root canal (if the crack extents into the pulp). Tooth extraction is the worst case scenario.

What are symptoms of a cracked tooth?

Some but not all symptoms include - pain when chewing or biting, especially when you release, sensitivity to heat, cold, or sweetness, pain that comes and goes, and swelling of the gum surrounding the cracked tooth.

Do you offer payment plans?

We want to make sure patients get the optimal care they need and deserve without financial stress. Therefore, we have partnered with CareCredit to offer 0% or low interest financing options for dental treatment offered at Metro Smiles to offer you flexible financing plans.

Will my insurance cover my dental appointment/treatment?

Insurance is a contract set up between the patient, patient employer, and the insurance company. We do our best to help estimate dental coverage. We have limited access to the details of each and every insurance plan so we recommend calling and speaking with your insurance company for specific coverage and limitations before treatment.

Why is it important to keep scheduled dental appointments?

Appointments are made to address your individual oral health care needs. Lapses in care can negatively affect your dental health. Recommended timelines for dental cleanings to restorative treatments are customized to maintain a healthy mouth. If a condition worsens, options will become limited, and treatment costs will increase.
